ITT
Initial Teacher Training with The Deepings SCITT
Ignite a passion for learning with a graduate career that inspires the next generation!
The primary programme is managed by Bourne Westfield Primary Academy where Keystone is based.
The programme takes place over an academic year, starting with induction at the end of August and ending with the qualification celebration in the summer. Every Friday, your core training takes place in Bourne and then you spend the remaining four days in your host training school, working with your team and your classes. You gradually assume responsibility for your teaching over the course of the year but the pace of this is tailored for trainees from all backgrounds.
All routes lead to Qualified Teacher Status and come with an additional option of a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) awarded by the University of Hull.
Applications are open between the end of October and the end of June and can be made via UCAS.com
This year applications will open from the 12th October 2022.

Testimonials
I can’t speak highly enough of the Deeping SCITT programme! I absolutely loved training with them to become a primary school teacher. The staff will go above and beyond to help their trainees and are always at the end of a phone or email. The support I received was fantastic and the course itself was so enjoyable. If you are considering the Deeping SCITT then I would highly recommend applying, as you really won’t be disappointed.
I would highly recommend The Deepings SCITT programme to anyone interested in teaching. I have felt supported by the team from the moment I first applied to the course. For anyone interested, talk to the team running the course and take the opportunity to visit one of the schools who support the programme – seeing it in action really gave me a feel of what the course is about.
When I found the SCITT route into teaching I went for it straight away with the support of my school. The SCITT route provides you with real
I learnt how to become an outstanding student teacher with the ongoing support from the SCITT ladies, who have the patience of saints. Your mentor is there to support and not criticise, pushing you to reach your potential. From doing the SCITT training I can now with confidence say that I provide children with the best education possible and would simply like to say thank you.
